Energy follows thought

I am sure that many of you have heard of “self fulfilling prophecies”, and of course, most of us have heard of “I told you so” from several different people, or even our own minds. So could it be true, that what you think, or what someone else thinks, can become true?

I’ve had my own fair share of downs, and now looking back, the energy I held on to, was pretty self-destructive. I was usually pessimistic, and always preparing for the worst. Why? So that I supposingly will be prepared and won’t feel as bad than if I had not predicted it myself. Now of course, that’s just rubbish, if something bad happens to someone, that someone will feel terrible either way. But strange enough, that was my cycle for a number of years, and I’m not alone in this. I know many others who have similar vicious cycles. It’s as if there is some perverse pleasure in saying “I knew this would happen.”.

Then again, it could be intuition at work here, warning you that the path that you are taking is not the best or could be the wrong one. So how does one know? This topic on intuition though, requires another separate post, so I’ll save it for another time.

Back to self-fulfilling prophecies. What if, you could change all those negative thoughts to positive ones? And what if, they could all become real? I am not saying that the change will happen overnight(not saying it can’t though), but I’m saying that it could, and as the title of this post says, energy follows our thoughts. And everything, is made up of energy.

When I finally decided I had had enough of feeling sorry for myself, making thebf suffer along with me, it was only then, that I was able to stop the cycle of negativity, and come out to better things. It took a while for me to just get out of the negativity, and then somemore to start being positive and start creating. And once it started, it was just too fun to stop, cos it gets easier, and things come faster.

So just to share some examples from my life:

I wanted to be a better person, to be at peace, to help others, and get out of my negative mindset. So somehow yoga came into my life. I’d been thinking about it for a while, just never got down to taking a yoga class, and then out of nowhere, my friends suggested we go together. I struggled with it at first, as I am very restless by nature. I learnt a lot from doing yoga, and that was a 2 or 3 years ago since I started. I started reading the bible, and for the first time I read finish the whole bible! :p Again, had the intention to earlier. I came to learn about quantum touch. A healing modality, that was so simple to learn. I’d read about others previously, like Reiki, TT, etc, but somehow I just wasn’t drawn to them. But quantum touch seemed like a natural, and I started that beginning of this year, and have discovered a very generous and friendly community!

There are much more that I can write about my recent years, things that may seem insignificant and I may have overlooked, but when I reflect, the path seems so clear. I do believe that I have found what I love to do, although sometimes it is hard to tell people about it as the people around me are used to hearing things like banking jobs, fantastic, innovative startups, etc. I like to learn about finance, technology, etc, but I like to do it just for fun, it isn’t exactly my passion.

So getting back from my digression, what has all this got to do with energy and thoughts? All of these, are activities that play out in my head every once in a while. I do not have a fixed number of times to imagine this, or a fixed way, or whatever(Some people do have to do t a certain number of times, their magic number. As long as you are comfortable with it, then its fine.). I just imagine it whenever I feel like it. I think about how nice it would be to be able to do this or that. I don’t worry about how I am going to do it. This of course, does not mean you take no action at all. The opportunities will come(sometimes you may have to look a bit), and when they do come, you have to take action.

Energy following thought can take another form though. For example, in terms of relationships, if you want to improve your relationship with someone, again, imagine how you would like it to be. This is what I did for my relationships, and it has helped to improve them quite drastically. My relationship with my mother is a good example. I used to be very impatient(remember I am very restless by nature) about everything, and sometimes got angry for the smallest things. She on her part, can be extremely trying as well, and her temper wasn’t exactly the coolest either :p So I would imagine how I wanted things to be, being more patient, us talking happily, etc, and really, it has made a world of difference. I’ve done this for my relationship with thebf too. And I do believe it has helped heaps too. Sometimes I use some of the advanced techniques from quantum touch together with my imagination, and it really help boost the quality of my imagination. (I will probably discuss how I do this in another post, if anyone is interested.)

If you do not know how to use QT or for some reason are against it, that’s alright, but I hope readers get the idea that whatever you think/feel strongly about, most likely it will happen(that is of course, ignoring other factors like other someone else’s thoughts on the same thing). If you can’t think positively about something or someone, at least try to stay neutral.

So what have you intended today? If nothing at this point in time, then let’s intend the highest good for this world we live in :)
